Hey Friends, Im Martelle!
Artist • Future Art Therapist • Professional Middle Child 😅
I’ve been turning feelings into paint strokes for as long as I can remember. As the middle child, I perfected the art of keeping the peace, talking to myself (a lot), and using my sketchbook as a diary before I even knew what “journaling” was. Spoiler alert: art became my therapy before I ever knew therapy was a thing.
Now, I’m studying to become an art therapist, blending creativity and mental health to help others express what words sometimes can’t. My goal? To help normalize therapy, especially in the Black community. Because let’s be real: it does make a difference when you can talk to someone who looks like you, understands the cultural layers, and has walked through some of the same struggles.
I believe in healing through expression, in loud colors and quiet moments, and in breaking the stigma one canvas (or convo) at a time. Whether you’re here for the art, the heart, or a little bit of both, you’re in the right place. 💛
Let’s create, express, and heal together.
